Looking for things to do at Disney World?
When hearing the question “What is there to do at Disney World?”, at first one may wonder “what planet are you from???” But as someone who has now been there a few times and done many of the “obvious” things to do, I still have a very long list of things that I want to do at Disney. Looking at that list there is such a wide variety of interesting and entertaining activities, that I can see where someone may not know where to start. The list of things to do at Disney ranges from free to extravagant and from relaxing to adventurous, so we can start with breaking it down into those categories.
Free and inexpensive things to do at Walt Disney World
We’ll start here since, given that Disney is not usually considered an inexpensive place to visit, many of us may be interested in saving some money and minimizing expenses. If you don’t want to pay for theme park admission but still want to experience the Disney Magic, there are plenty of things to do, places to go, and areas to explore on Disney property. Many of these are actually completely free, such as riding the monorail or visiting Disney’s Boardwalk, Downtown Disney, or any of the Disney Resort Hotels. You can certainly spend plenty of cash in these locations, but there is no “admission” fee. Be sure to get a free sample at the Ghirardelli Chocolate store in Downtown Disney! Check our Free and inexpensive things to do in Disney World page for more information and details.
More Adventurous or Extravagant things to do at Disney
Disney is also very good at catering to those who are willing to spend a bit, or even quite a bit more money. For a fun adventure, there are the morning segway tours at EPCOT, or the private safari tours at either Animal Kingdom or AKL. For some details of Disney, they offer behind the scenes tours of MK, AK, and EPCOT. For water based fun, try SCUBA diving or the dolphin experience at EPCOT or the cruises offered by most of the deluxe waterfront resorts.
